Communities
At One Thousand Trades Group, we view supporting charitable causes and giving back to our communities as a core part of our mission.
At One Thousand Trades Group, we aim to use our skills, knowledge and networks to support voluntary causes – whether that’s organising fundraising events, providing pro-bono marketing and PR support, or facilitating introductions.
Through this work we’ve helped raise funds, deliver successful events, expand networks, and build links between charities, businesses, donors and policymakers.
Here you’ll find a few examples of the causes we’ve helped support.
Raising over £5,000 for St Basils homelessness charity, alongside the Innovation Awards, helping vulnerable young people to find and keep a home, grow their confidence, develop their skills and increase opportunities
Raising £6,000 for The Cancer Platform, part of the Cancer Awareness Trust, a free website and app that gives immediate access to expert information, services and support.
Raising £12,000 for Fisher House, funding the naming of the “Everest Room” in honour of the Mission Everest team, supporting with pro-bono PR for the ceremony helping raise the mission Everest cause.
Raising £48,000 for Acorns Children’s Hospice, helping children and their families cope at every stage of their child’s life and beyond.
Veterans bring resilience, leadership and unique skills to our society, yet too often face barriers when transitioning to civilian life. That’s why our commitment is rooted in respect and responsibility.
Using our expertise in communications, advocacy and public affairs, we help veterans’ voices be heard in Westminster, ensure businesses commit to veteran-friendly policies, and mobilise resources for charities that provide vital services.
From pro-bono parliamentary engagement to grassroots fundraising, our mission is to stand alongside veterans and their families, ensuring they are supported, celebrated, and empowered.
Some of our recent fundraising in support of veterans’ causes has included:
£25,000 for the Army Benevolent Fund
£14,000 for the Afghanistan Veterans Community.
